The next chapter….
So the website is live and we think it looks great and the first thing we want to do is thank our wonderful website designers Unstuck Design. They’ve been hugely patient with us as we get to grips with this eCommerce business and we are supremely grateful.
So, if you’re on our site you may well be saying to yourself ‘Great site, love the t-shirts but is that all?’ and the answer is yes, for the time being, but hopefully not for long. As mentioned in our first blog we are currently working with local artists to develop our first county specific products. As two thirds of the CR team are from Wiltshire and one third is from Shropshire it makes sense for us to start with these counties. After all, the whole aim and hope of the County Roots idea is to instill county pride!
There’s a whole heap of ideas to draw from: for Wiltshire there’s the Moonraker tale (look it up if you don’t know it, we’re a wily people) Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral, for Shropshire there’s Offa’s Dyke, Housman’s ‘A Shropshire Lad’ and the beautiful town of Ludlow – and that’s just for starters! So please don’t forget us while we develop some new ideas. We’re going to be active on Twitter and Facebook, keeping everyone up to date with the process and giving a glimpse into the life of a CR team member.
